Lamai Pilates was created by Alex, a former professional dancer with a long and successful career as an international choreographer and celebrity artist trainer. Throughout her career, movement has been a fundamental part of her life. From the stage to the studio, Alex has always been passionate about using movement to express creativity and build strength. Her experience training artists to reach their individual goals gave her a deep understanding of how the body moves and the importance of tailored, functional training. It was this background that naturally led Alex to Pilates, where she discovered a transformative practice that not only enhanced her own well-being but also became a powerful tool for helping others achieve their fitness goals.
After struggling with endometriosis and undergoing surgery, Alex turned to Pilates for recovery. She quickly realised how it helped alleviate pain, improve mobility, and restore balance. Inspired by the positive impact Pilates had on her own health journey, Alex became a fully certified mat Pilates instructor and expanded her expertise to specialise in Pilates for endometriosis, menopause, and antenatal and postnatal health.
Today, Alex combines her extensive experience in movement with her Pilates training to help individuals improve their overall fitness, prevent injury, and build strength for everyday life. Whether working with those focused on women's health or those seeking to enhance their mobility and strength, Alex’s approach is designed to deliver lasting results that support both physical performance and well-being.
